The first Meet the Archivists event was held in Glasgow on Friday 9th November 2012 at the Centre for Business History. The aim of our Meet the Archivists events is to bring together academics and archivists to discuss and explore with students how business archive collections can be used for their research. It brought together academics and archivists to discuss and explore with students how business archive collections can be used for their research. The day aimed to demonstrate to students how these rich business archive collections can be used to investigate and research a variety of topics in different academic disciplines from economic, business, social, gender and labour histories, management studies and politics and industrial relations to sociology, linguistics and architecture.
