The Business Archives Council for Scotland’s 2015 conference was held in Glasgow on Friday 20th November at the Scottish Oral History Centre, University of Strathclyde. It was on the theme of ‘Working Lives Recorded: Case Studies and Best Practice in Oral Histories’ and explored oral histories and memories from the work place, and the presence of oral history recordings in business archives.
The annual Joan Auld Lecture, was given by Professor Arthur McIvor, Director of the Scottish Oral History Centre, University of Strathclyde on the subject of ‘Reconstructing Mining Industry Lives: Oral Narratives from Scottish Coal Mining’.
